Experience
I graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno with a Bachelor of Education and minors in technology and multiculturalism. From there, I transferred to Nova University, where I completed a master's degree in educational administration. Then, I pursued my Ph.D. at Argosy University. After graduating from college, I became a middle school math teacher and a math coach for one of Florida's public school districts. Additionally, I am certified to teach ESOL in the state of Florida. I'm proud to say that my elementary students maintain the highest math and writing scores in Saint Lucie County.I believe that an education is necessary in order for people to live an enriched lifestyle, and I work hard to impress upon my students the importance of an education. I also believe that all students are able to learn, but they learn in different ways. I try my best to use a variety of teaching methods until I find one that works for the student. I tutor students in elementary school math, middle school math, English, phonics, and reading -- all subjects that I personally enjoy learning. In my free time, I like to spend quality time with family, cook, and read. I also enjoy traveling when I can, and I typically spend the Christmas holiday in Kona, which is located on Hawaii's big island, visiting my daughter and grandchild.
